Regional Programming
HGP is the regional hub that drives the local implementation of this national theory of change to build long-term, high-impact direct service activities that span the formative first nine years of students’ academic careers. HGP:
- STARTS new program sites that offer much-needed academic support.
- An award-winning tuition-free academic and enrichment summer program for students who experience educational inequities hosted for six weeks (full days, Monday through Friday) on the resource-rich campuses of independent schools.
- School-year programs from September to May that range from afterschool programming 1-3 times a week –including literacy support, enrichment, and counseling– and/or quarterly Saturday sessions with activities, counseling, service opportunities, academic enrichment, and family engagement.
- HGP provides start-up funding to support program sustainability, quality, and direct service operations including meals, swimming, academics, field trips, staffing, and enrichment activities.
- SUPPORTS program sites with coaching, funding, facilitation, training and curricular tools so they are able to operate evidence-based, culturally competent programs. HGP provides ongoing professional development support to site Executive Directors and staff including
